What a surprise!

8 cameras at 8MP with output to an 8K screen. The load tests of our little box called Video Blazer exceeded expectations.

Initially, we designed our smart device for 8 IP cameras with HD resolution. And we haven’t changed the specifications yet. But our users somehow immediately started connecting 8-megapixel cameras without looking at the documentation. Fortunately, there are no restrictions in our interface.

Luckily, it works. The chip power is sufficient to decompress the H.264 codec on all cameras and then re-compress it in the same huge format, just adding video analytics metadata. A pleasant surprise from the latest Chinese chips!

And still, we’ll wait for a long period of operation to officially announce these characteristics. For now, we recommend the proven resolution - 2MP. Anything else is at your own risk. Although, of course, there’s not much risk, because the program crash is quickly restored by the watchdog, which is hard-wired on the board.

Yes, let’s not forget, as of today, it’s been rigorously tested with 8K resolution screens. Although there are three outputs, we have tested two 8K monitors in a long-term mode. Essentially, it’s a format for situational centers.

Thanks to America, which banned the supply of its chips to China. Import substitution worked at 300%.
